The expected popularity of text messaging was spot on, but alas, it was to happen on cellphones instead of on two-way pagers. The forecast was a for a transition from one-way paging into two-way paging, but with continued strong growth in subscriber penetration. We thought Paging would continue its rapid growth for many years into the future. a literal or metaphorical force regarded as mercilessly destructive and unstoppable. I reminds me of the word juggernaut - i.e. The growing popularity and ubiquity of cellphones was unstoppable.
